Persecution Complex: An irrational and obsessive feeling or fear that one is the object of collective hostility or ill treatment on the part of others.

The American Christian persecution complex has always infuriated me, especially when I see all the people the church marginalizes and persecutes themselves.

The final line of the song is referencing Isaiah 1:15

"When you spread out your hands in prayer,
I hide my eyes from you;
even when you offer many prayers,
I am not listening.

Your hands are full of blood!"

The way I see it the church has blood on its hands, and when prayers are lifted to heaven for freedom from -perceived- oppression God does not hear.
