"No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money."

Although the verse above is directly referencing money as an idol I believe it is necessary that we think the same of our country. The Christian nationalist movement in this country is moving hand in hand with the fascist state to bring about authoritarian theocracy. This is not the way to be the kingdom of God. This is not doing his will on earth as it is in heaven.

There are no borders in heaven. Class, race, gender, sexual orientation; none of these things matter in the kingdom of heaven yet on earth these are things that are used to divide and demean.

In heaven all needs are met, and there is no sickness or pain. I understand that we can't rid ourselves of pain and sickness on earth but I feel it is a necessary fight to ensure people can afford to live. To ensure that all are provided healthcare, food and a place to live.

I believe it is impossible to emulate the kingdom of heaven through fascist and capitalist regimes.
